Gavi Weitzman is a Philadelphia based artist and educator who works in printmaking, photography, painting and installation in order to explore Judaism, the body and identity. Her most recent works include Ketubot (Jewish marriage contracts) and prints which explore the relationship between hair and femininity. She received her BFA from the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis in May 2021 and has since continued to build on an interest in Jewish ritual and education. Gavi currently lives in the Philadelphia Moishe House and enjoys planning creative, social and musical events for her community with her roommates.
